Lamborghini - this is materialized futuristic innovation but also traditional elegance coming together through worldwide recognized and unique super-sport cars.
The essence of Lamborghini is speed, fantasy and myth. The brand pushes the borders of reality further each time when presenting new creations. These relations will be visible in the new Lamborghini Road Monument : Two high rising, elegant yet progressive sculptures show the relation between earth and sky. Reminiscent of classical shapes recognized in important monuments such as Corinthian columns or Italian obelisks, the verticality of both monuments glorifies the strive towards the sky. The Road Monuments creates the connection between the earthbound Lamborghini cars and their otherworldly, heaven-sent appearance which serves as a great entrance to the world-famous factory of Automobili Lamborghini.
The complexity in the design of each Lamborghini is an important distinctive feature. Each detail is well considered for its own, yet comes together with over a thousand other parts in one car-sculpture. Each point of view offers new, interesting and never before known impressions of the Lamborghini-Design language. This design challenges the curiosity of the beholder and evokes deep emotions compared to other cars. The Lamborghini Road Monument will cause these feelings by relating closely to the roots of Lamborghini car design: Straight and curved lines, bows and cuts in the surface come together and generate in addition with its own shadows a unique sculpture
Not only should the design of the Lamborghini Road Monument relate to the brand but so should the construction, in showcasing the brand’s expertise in high-class craftsmanship. That is why both Monuments will be created in the famous Lamborghini factory by the same hands who build the cars. Although complex in design, the structure of both Road Monuments is simple and closely related to the construction of the cars: An ultra-stiff steel frame is the basic structure for the sculpture. Five big plates of aluminium are partly twisted and screwed to the frame. Joints are sealed by jointing compound, the surface is abraded and polished over and over again. Afterwards, high-glossy car-paint coats the whole sculpture. One Monument will be colored golden yellow, a color that relates to the famous Lamborghini Giallo Midas, the other sculpture will be glossy black like popular Nero Serapis on Lamborghini cars.
